　　長頸鹿是一種生長在非洲的反芻偶蹄動物，拉丁文名字的意思是“長著豹紋的駱駝” 。它們是世界上現存最高的陸生動物。牙齒為原始的低冠齒，不能以草為主食，只能以樹葉為主食，生活于非洲稀樹草原地帶。
